Hello every one, we are here initiating a discussion on the participation, role and motive of GENERAL V.K SINGH in his fight against corruption on the day of WORLD LITERACY DAY .

General V.K SINGH, an ordinary boy from a small village of BHIWANI district HARYANA was a third generation officer of his family. He serve the nation  for 42 years and was awarded with many honours such as PARAM VISHIST SEVA MEDAL, YUDH SEVA MEDAL, ATI VISHISHT SEVA MEDAL.

His remarkable role in the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971 need no mention specifically operation Pawan. Reviewing his service and family back ground ,we could easily infer that from what patriotic background he belongs from.

Even after serving the nation for such a long period, he is again back in field, but only difference in present that the enemy now lies with in the boundry of the nation i.e CORRUPTION .

And on the onset of his this battle he has started taking steps first,by publically supporting Mr ANNA HAZARE in his "Fight Against Corruption" and then by himself getting into the battle field of this fight and his first step was his this Press Conference held at PATNA, BIHAR(co organised by IIBM,PATNA).

As far as my opinion is concerned ,i don't think he has any personal benefit  or motive in getting in this fight against corruption, "he just want himself to be portrayed as a common man whose is effected by corruptions  and needs answers to his questions.

ANKITA, I would like to here your views, opinion on this topics, that how you see v.k singh  visited patna for anti-corruption, is he trying to enter poltics or for society.

  2. Hey Pankaj!

First of all this is really a great topic of discussion. What I felt about this was that it's alright that he wanted to share his thoughts and really wanted to do something to fight against corruption but it is being publicized as his move for setting a platform to be launched in politics. We cannot infer from a single action of his that what is his real intention behind all this but it is natural for people to think his this step as a political move because of his consequent appearances at many such "Politically influenced Anti Corruption Drives".

So even if he wanted this to be actual fight against corruption and even if had genuine intention for fighting against corruption, even then it got colored in political color.

They say that "Hit the Iron when it is hot" he followed the same suit and at present when the Corruption and BLack Money at Swiss Bank are the current and burning issues of the nation he had tried to drive the nation towards this movement but yes like they say "Every coin has two sides" he will also have to face some difficulties and opinions like this in his this Campaign.

  3. Kudos to both of you for being the first one to generate the discussion!
Yes, it is true that Gen. V.K.Singh will have to fight back against the apprehensions regarding his intention to stand against corruption.
Do you think it is because people have been deceived of false promises so many times before that they have lost trust in goodness?

    1. Respected Ma'am,

Thank you for appreciating and also being a part of our discussion. I totally agree ma'aam that these apprehensions that are being faced by Gen V.K Singh are the result of previous bitter experiences which our society and it's people has experienced.

As it is rightly said that "Doodh ka jala chaach bhi fook fook kar peeta h" this proverb fits correctly here.

So even if his intentions are sincere they will for some moments will still instigate such type of apprehensions.

I hope ma'am that I am able to explain my views correctly.?

  4. Respected shweta ma'am/ ankita,

As far as i think , yes, this factor makes us think this because of previous history of our political leaders who come in existence for social welfare. But at the end of the day, they turn out making money for themselves.

From my point of view we (INDIANS) are habituated of negative thinking for anyone who is taking initiative for any new thing that creates more name and fame. This happens with Sir.V.K.Singh.

Many of the people discuses only about his drawbacks but not throw lights upon his devotion toward the nation in his 42 years of service on National border.

"Is it always necesarry to look at negative aspects of every new things which is inhabited in people?"

It can not be said that we are always looking at negative side and overlooking his 42 year old career other wise there would not have been such a huge audience and media people in his latest Press conference at Maurya Hotel ,Patna organized by IIBM, Patna on anti corruption.

What I am trying to say is that people are looking at both the aspects! Don't you also think that one should do that?

  7. great! yes, we can only infer things and we do have right to that because it is the issue affecting everyone of us at some point or another.
I strongly agree with Pankaj that we must not forget the integrity with which Gen. V.K.Singh served the nation and we must wait and have faith that a person driven by national priorities will never mislead people and he would do good whether through politics or without it.
